The bentonite MICROCOL ALPHAA It has an excellent deproteinizing force to achieve the stabilization and clarification of musts and wines in a wide PH spectrum. This natural sodium bentonite is used to remove proteins that could cloud white or rosé wines and clarify other wines and musts.
Bentonite for wine MICROCOL ALPHAA
This yeast with a grainy appearance and a light gray color is indicated as oenological product for protein stabilization and clarification of musts and wines .
Oenological properties of natural sodium bentonite
Provides stability to high temperature sensitive proteins with an acceptable pH range.
High capacity and clarifying action.
Comparison of residual water in wine processes.
Ability to maintain the wine's own aroma.
Facilitates more lustrous wines.
Scientific results of MICROCOL ALPHAA
It has been shown in studies that indicate that MICROCOL ALPHA is capable of stabilizing proteins in wines with a high PH level, a high clarification power in wines and musts and an excellent protection of the characteristic aroma of the grape..
How MICROCOL ALPHA bentonite is appliedA
The preparation process usually lasts around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Dissolves 1 kg of bentonite for every 10 liters of water.
It is recommended that the water be at 50ºC to optimize the mixture and the absorption capacity of the H2O of the bentonite.
Slowly incorporate the bentonite to achieve a correct dissolution.
Stir regularly for approximately 2 hours.
Once finished, let it sit for 12-24 hours before using it.
Recommended amounts
It will depend on the protein recalibration to be performed. Usually between 10 to 80 grams per 100 liters. In young red wines, the amount could vary between 5 and 10 gr per hL. We recommend consulting with your trusted winemaker before applying this product.
