HOW TO USE
- Before applying, the hoof should be carefully washed and all excess hoof trimmed to its natural shape. The plant must be thoroughly examined to locate fissures and holes that must be cleaned with the blades (left or right renets).
- The SHOOF (Copper Sulfate) medication bag must be submerged unopened in water for one minute. It is then applied to the most affected area.
- Then use the special SHOOF bandage covering the bag and bandaging the entire hoof upwards to protect the friction. Gather loose ends and tuck them into the folds of the bandage. Never use the SHOOF without a protective bandage.
- Place the SHOOF on the hoof, tying it correctly. Use the staple or clip to help with tying. It is almost impossible to tighten the SHOOF ties excessively as the animal compresses the bandage when walking and reduces tension. Trim off any loose ends.
- Normal use is 7-10 days. If you use the SHOOF for long periods (more than 3 weeks), the animal should be monitored to avoid other inconveniences.
