The insecticidal efficacy of these pipettes against new infestations by adult fleaspersists for 8 weeks.New fleas that arrive die within 48 hours of landing on the animal. The drug can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), when it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
The drug in pipette has not shown an immediate acaricidal effect against ticks but has shown a persistent acaricidal efficacy of up to 4 weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus and up to 3 weeks against Ixodes ricinus. If ticks of these species are present when the medication is applied, all ticks may not be killed in the first 48 hours, but they will be killed within a week.
