In livestock farms the presence of arthropods is frequent. For its control, the measures are diverse and almost specific for each case, since it not only depends on the method used, but also on the design and state of the facilities. Some arthropods can be transmitters of diseases, generating economic losses. Others cause discomfort to livestock by reducing their production. A tool available on the market for the control of arthropods is the use of insecticides.

On a dairy farm, milking is the most important activity. It should try to minimize the contamination of milk. For this, a milking routine must be established.

Mastitis is an inflammatory reaction of the mammary gland. Inflammation occurs as a result of shock, presence of pathogens and/or toxins in the gland tissue. To reduce the incidence of mastitis there are several considerations to take into account.

Farms today, where production is intensive, are at permanent risk from the action of pathogenic organisms. The onset of an infectious disease compromises the viability of farms (reducing their income) and the health of animals and even operators. 

Pathogens are able to live and reproduce in moist environments where organic matter is present. Just as each organism has conditions in which its development is optimal, its behavior towards chemical products varies according to the pathogen to be combated.
