Derived from the approval of the community norm, it is transposed into national law, through Royal Decree 1311/2012, of September 14, which establishes the framework of action to achieve a sustainable use of phytosanitary products, the normative regulation of the aforementioned marketing and use.
INFORMATION FOR THE BUYER
The most important novelties introduced by the aforementioned legislation are included in the need for an enabling qualification for the user, since according to article 21 of theRoyal Decree 1311/2012, of September 14, which establishes the framework for action to achieve sustainable use of plant protection products, from November 26, 2015Phytosanitary products for professional use may only be supplied to holders of a card that certifies training. Therefore, two types of phytosanitary product applicator certificate or card arise, the basic and the qualified.
Basic card : Required for land and aerial treatments auxiliary personnel, including non-agricultural ones, and farmers who carry them out on the farm without employing auxiliary personnel and using phytosanitary products that are not or do not generate toxic, highly toxic or deadly gases.
Qualified Card:Required for professional users responsible for terrestrial treatments, including non-agricultural ones, and for farmers who carry out treatments using auxiliary personnel.
¿WHAT ARE PHYTOSANITARY PRODUCTS FOR PROFESSIONAL USE??
In a general way we can refer to phytosanitary products for professional use to those thatexceed
- One litre, in the case of aerosols or other types of containers designed to directly apply the already diluted phytosanitary product.
- 500 gr or 500ml for any other type of preparation.
